Our baskets and bags are all produced by women artisans from Fair Trade organisations in Bangladesh. The women are competent in the skills of basket weaving and use available materials to make baskets that are used in their everyday lives for storage and carrying. They may use cane, palm leaf, jute and grasses and being to be paid a fair price for them enables them to enjoy a much better lifestyle and for many to educate their daughters is a high priority.
